Tarick is a thinker. His reflective lyrics are delivered in a soft fusion of rap and song and although categorized as a Hip Hop artist, his style can’t be defined based on one genre, as he is highly inspired by Jazz, Soul and RnB. With roots in Tanzania, Tarick keeps his culture and descent relevant in his music by experimenting with rhythms and melodies from, among others, Dancehall and Reggaeton. Here, Tarick's auto-tune vocals play well together with East African instruments and Afrotrap percussion to create a vibrant and dynamic sound image. His lyrics deal with topics such as love, friendship and societal norms, and reflect life as a young, hopeless romantic and hardworking upcoming musician. With an interesting vocabulary and imaginative sentence structures, Tarick's music is always exciting and engaging.


Tarick grew up in centre of Copenhagen, but is originally from Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania, where his mother comes from. At the age of 17, Tarick became the frontman and vocalist in an alternative Jazz/Hip Hop band, which had a wide range of young fans across the country. This provided him with a solid musical foundation and useful experiences. Tarick met, and became good friends with the producer Cryptiq and was introduced to the crew that later became Affiliated. It would turn out to be his musical family, and he has since become an important piece of the puzzle that makes the crew.
